Application Fees
As per TNPSC Group 2 Notification the application fees for separate examinations are as follows:
- Preliminary Examination Fee: ₹100/- to be paid at the time of submitting the online application (unless exemption of fees is claimed)
- Mains Examination Fee: ₹150/- for those who get shortlisted for main written examination.
- Exemption for candidates belonging to SC/ST, Differently Abled Person, and certain other categories as per TNPSC rules.

Selection Process
The selection process for TNPSC Group 2 and 2A services is through the Combined Civil Service Examination which comprises two stages (Except for the post of Forester): I. Common Preliminary Examination and II. Separate Main Examination for Group 2 & 2A services and III. Endurance Test (only for Forester posts).
I. Common Preliminary Examination (Single Paper):

Mandatory documents required for Online Application:
- Photograph: Passport Size colour photograph with white background.
- The name of the candidate and the date of photography (on or after 20.06.2024) must be printed at the bottom of the photograph.
- Photograph Size: 4.5 cm (170 pixels) x 3.0 cm (130 pixels) and candidate name & date: 1.5 cm (55 pixels).
- Resolution: 200 DPI
- File Size: 20 – 50 KB
- File Format: jpg. (Saved as “Photograph.jpg”).
- Signature: Candidate must draw a box on white paper and sign within the box with a blue/black ink pen.

Step-by-Step Application Process:
Before applying online for TNPSC Group 2 & 2a Services it is recommended that the candidate must go through the official notification (link given below) thoroughly.
Step I: Visit the Official Website of TNPSC and click on Notification.
Step II: Click on “Apply Online” and then click on “One-Time Registration”.
Step III: Create a Login ID and Password by filling up all the required details.
Step IV: Now log in by providing login credentials, select the examination, and fill in the required details.
Step V: Upload the scanned copies of the necessary documents.
Step VI: Verify the Details and submit the application.
Step VII: Pay Application fees through online mode.
Step VIII: Take the printout of the application and receipt for future reference.
