The recruitment is for various General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Ministerial posts in various Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/Statutory Bodies/ Tribunal etc. under the Pay Level – I as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission.

SSC MTS 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality/Citizenship:
The candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
Age Limit (as on 01/08/2024):
- 18 – 25 years (Candidate born not before 02/08/1999 and not later than 01/08/2006) for MTS.
- 18 – 27 years (Candidate born not before 02/08/1997 and not later than 01/08/2006) for Havaldar (CBIC and CBN), Department of Revenue and a few posts of MTS in various departments.

SSC MTS 2024 Selection Process
The candidates for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) and Havaldar will be selected through the following process:
- Computer-Based Examination: The Computer-based Examination will be conducted in Two Sessions (Session I and Session II), on the same day and both sessions are mandatory.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST): The PET/PST is applicable for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN posts only.
Computer Based Examination
The Computer Based Examination consists of two sessions i.e. Session I and Session II. The total examination will consist of 90 objective-type, multiple-choice questions in Hindi, English and 13 regional languages (except for Season II Part II English Language and Comprehension).
The total mark for the examination is 270. The time allocated for the examination is 90 minutes. There will be no negative marking in Session I. In Session II there will be a negative marking of 1(one) mark for each incorrect answer.

The performance of the candidate in Session I will be evaluated first and the performance of Session II will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies in Session I.

Documents Required Before Applying Online:
- Photograph: The candidate is not required to have a pre-existing photograph. The application module has been designed to capture a photograph of the candidate filling up the application form.
- Signature: The candidate should upload the scanned signature in JPEG format.
- File Size: 10 – 20 KB
- Dimension: 6.0 cm (Width) x 2.0 cm (Height).
- Candidate must have an active Email and Mobile number.
- Aadhaar Number (If not available then Voter ID/ PAN/ Passport/ Driving License/ School or College ID/ Employer ID)
- Matriculation Certificate.
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
