Eligibility Criteria for Protection Officer Recruitment 2024
Nationality/Citizenship
The candidate applying for Murshidabad District Protection Officer under the PWDV Act, 2005 must be an Indian Citizen.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age (as on 01.01.2023): 18 years
- Maximum Age (as on 01.01.2023): 36 years
Education Qualification
- Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Social Work/ History/ Geography/ English/ Political Science/ Economics/ Sociology/ International Relations/ Public Administration/ LLB from a UGC recognised University.
- Computer Skills: Must have a good working knowledge of MS Office applications and email operations.
Post Qualification Experience

Probation Officer Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The selection process for the post of Probation Officer in Murshidabad District, West Bengal will be selected through three stages i.e. Evaluation of Education Qualification, Computer Test (Practical), and Interview. The details of each stage are given below:
Stage I: Evaluation of Education Qualification
In this stage, the academic merit of the candidate will be evaluated and the marks allocated as given below:

After evaluation of the education qualification, the top 20 candidates will be shortlisted on a ratio of 1:20 for appearing in the Computer Practical Test.
The Computer Test (Practical) will carry 15 marks. The candidate’s knowledge and skills in MS Office and email operations will be tested in this examination.
Stage III: Interview (viva-voice)
On the same day of the Computer Test (Practical), the Interview will be conducted by the District Level Selection Committee, (PWDV Act, 2005), Murshidabad. Candidates appearing for viva-voice (interview) must carry all the documents in original and self-attested photocopies (for submission).
Documents need to carry for verification: Identity Proof, Academic Qualifications, Caste Certificates (if applicable), Proof of Date of Birth, Computer Knowledge certificate, Experience certificate etc.
Final Merit List & Panel
The final merit list and panel of waiting list candidates for the post of Protection Officer will be prepared based on total marks obtained in all the stages i.e. Evaluation of Education Qualification, Computer Test (Practical), and Interview (viva-voice).
