The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) has released the notification for the recruitment of ITBP SI (Staff Nurse), ASI (Pharmacist), and Head Constable (Midwife) 2024 for 29 vacancies on 29th June 2024 on the official website (recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in). The online application started on 29th June 2024 and the closing date for online application is 28th July 2024. Education Qualification

Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse):

  • Passed 10(+2) from a recognised Board / University.
  • Passed the examination in General Nursing and Midwifery.
  • Registered with the Central Nursing Council or State Nursing Council.
  • Desirable: 03 (Three) years of experience as a Nurse.

Assistant Sub Inspector (Pharmacist):

  • Passed 10(+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as a subject from a recognised Board.
  • Diploma in Pharmacy from any Central/State Government Institute.
  • Registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.

Head Constable (Midwife) (Only Female):

  • Passed 10th examination from any recognised Board.
  • Passed Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery Course from a recognised institution.
  • Registered in Nursing Council of Central / State Government.

Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse):

Selection Process

The selection process for ITBP Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse), Assistant Sub Inspector (Pharmacist) and Head Constable (MidWife) (Only Female) Recruitment 2024 consists of three phases as follows:

Phase I: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST):

I. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

After passing the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), the candidate will be allowed to participate in the Physical Standard Test (PST). The minimum criteria for the Physical Standard Test (PST) will be as follows:

Weight: The candidate’s weight will be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Phase II: Written Examination (MCQ)

After qualifying for the Physical Standard Test (PST), the candidate will undergo a written examination. The written examination will be conducted either an OMR-based or Computer Based Test (CBT), ITBP will intimidate regarding that on their website. The examination will carry 100 marks and will consist of 100 objective-type Multiple Choice Questions. There will be no negative marking. The pattern of the question paper will be as follows:

The minimum cutoff percentage of marks for qualifying in the written examination is as follows:

  • UR/EWS → 35%
  • SC/ST/OBC(NCL) → 33%

Phase III: Document Verification & Practical Examination

The candidates appear for document verification and the practical examination will be 10 times the category-wise vacancy who qualify for the written examination.

Document Verification: The candidate must produce all the original testimonials (which will be returned after verification) with self attested photocopy of the same. Candidate must produce the following original copies:

  • Education Certificates
  • Professional Certificates
  • Experience Certificates (if any)
  • Matriculation (class 10) Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate/PRC/Voter ID/Passport/Aadhaar Card for Citizenship proof.
  • Four (4) recent passport-size photographs.

Practical Examination: After completing the documentation stage the candidates will appear for the Practical examination which will be conducted at Government Hospital. The pattern of Practical examination is as follows:

The qualifications for ITBP SI ( Staff Nurse) are as follows:
ITBP SI (Staff Nurse):
Age: 21 – 30 Years
