- Minimum (as on 10.09.2024): 18 years i.e. not born after 10.09.2006.

ITBP Constable (Pioneer) Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
Candidates applying for the ITBP Constable Recruitment 2024 will be selected through Five Stages i.e. I) PST & PET, II) Written Test, III) Trade Test, IV) Document Verification, and V) Detailed Medical Examination. The details of each stage are given below:
Stage I: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST):
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The PET is qualifying in nature so no marks will be awarded for the test. The candidate must qualify in each event for PET.

Physical Standard Test (PST): Those candidates who qualify for the Physical Efficiency Test will then undergo a Physical Standard Test (PST) where the candidate’s Height, Weight and Chest will be measured. Those candidates who do not meet the required physical measurement (given below) will be eliminated.

Weight: The weight of the candidate will be measured proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
Stage II: Written Examination
Candidates after qualifying for the Physical Standard Test will be called for a written examination. The written examination will have 100 Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions consisting of 1 mark each. There will be no negative marks in this examination. The question will be as per the 10th standard syllabus. The detailed examination pattern is as follows:

Minimum cutoff percentage of Marks for qualifying in written examination:
- UR/ EWS: 35%
- SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL): 33%
Stage III: Trade Test
Candidates qualifying in the written test will be called for the Trade Test based on merit. In trade tests, the candidate’s skills and knowledge will be as tested through various activities. The Total Marks of the Trade Test for each post will be 50 marks. The test will be qualifying in nature and candidates must score a minimum of 50% to qualify. Stage IV: Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates qualifying in the Trade Test will be called for document verification where the original testimonials and documents will be verified before the Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
Stage V: Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
Those candidates qualifying in the Document Verification will only be called for Detailed Medical Examination which will be conducted in terms of Uniform Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and AR.
