RRB NTPC 2024 Notification Overview
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India has published the notification for the 8113 Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate) Posts through Centralized Employment Notice CEN No. 05/2024 on September 13th 2024. Through this notification, the RRBs has invited interested Indian Nationals to apply for the posts of Chief Commercial Cum Ticket Supervisor, Station Master, Goods Train Manager, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, and Senior Clerk Cum Typist. Interested candidates holding a Graduation degree and between the ages of 18 and 36 can apply online from September 14th, 2024 till October 13th, 2024.

RRB NTPC 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality/Citizenship
- a citizen of India or
- a subject of Nepal or
- a subject of Bhutan or
- a Tibetian refugee (who came to India before Jan.1962) or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, The United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to settle in India permanently.

RRB NTPC 2024 Selection Process
The candidates will be selected through the two-stage Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Computer-based Aptitude Test (CBAT)/Typing Skill Test (TST) as applicable. The details of each phase is given below:
Phase I: 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-I):
The CBT-I will consist of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions each carrying 1 mark. The total duration of the examination will be 90 minutes. There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer.

Phase II: 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-II):
Candidates will be shortlisted for the CBT-2 examination based on the score obtained by the candidate in CBT-1 after the normalization of the score. The total number of candidates to be shortlisted shall be 15 times the community-wise vacancies of posts notified against the RRB as per their merit in CBT-1.
The CBT-2 will consist of 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions carrying 1 mark each. The total duration of the examination will be 90 minutes. There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer.

Phase III: Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)/Typing Skill Test (TST):
Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) will be conducted after qualifying for the CBT-2, and only for the candidates applying for Station Master posts. In CBAT the candidate needs to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each test battery to qualify.
Typing Skill Test (TST) will be conducted after qualifying for the CBT-2, and only for the candidates applying for the posts of Senior Clerk cum Typist and Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist. The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on a Personal Computer only without editing tools and a spell check facility.
Phase IV: Document Verification (DV):
Based on the performance of the candidates in the examination candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification as per their merit and options.

Step-by-Step Online Application Process
Candidates can apply for the posts of any one RRB only as per their eligibility through the official website. The step-by-step online application process for RRB NTPC 2024 is given below:
- First, visit the official website www.rrbapply.gov.in and navigate to “Apply” → “Create An Account”.
- Fill in all the required details including a valid Email ID and phone number verify it with an OTP and create a Password. Once done click on “Preview and Create An Account”.
- After successful registration, the Registration number will be sent to the registered email. Now login using the registration number and password.
- Select the RRB to which you wish to apply and fill in all the required details carefully.
- Upload the photograph and signature as per instructions.
- Select the post preference sequentially and Preview the application.
- Once satisfied click on “Submit” and pay the Application Fees.
- After successful payment take the print of the payment receipt and application form for future reference.
